We are looking for passionate individuals who love food, wine, spirits, and customer service. Our Restaurant Managers are experienced leaders with goals to advance in the management field, prioritizing customer satisfaction and efficient restaurant operations. Responsibilities
  1. Identify and delegate responsibilities to shift leaders and staff to meet objectives and deliver excellent service.
  2. Manage the restaurant effectively in the absence of the General Manager.
  3. Lead operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge, promoting the culture and values of Smashing Grapes Kitchen and Wine Bar.
  4. Develop and implement new policies and procedures, providing clear instructions to staff.
  5. Guide shift leaders and staff to achieve restaurant goals.
  6. Regularly review operations and staff performance to identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Provide coaching, feedback, and ongoing performance assessments to managers and staff.
  8. Create a positive guest experience by delivering high-quality service and engaging with guests to understand and exceed their expectations.
  9. Maintain standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  10. Monitor product and labor costs to stay within budget goals.
  11. Gather guest feedback to better understand customer needs and preferences.
  12. Train staff on guest service principles and practices.
  13. Adhere to restaurant policies, including cash handling and safety/security procedures.
  14. Oversee the Micros POS System and assist with new menu implementation.
  15. Develop creative solutions to operational challenges.
  16. Conduct staff and pre-shift meetings.
  17. Support restaurant operations during staffing shortages.
  18. Identify employee weaknesses and provide retraining as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of management experience in a high-volume, fine dining environment.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with touch-sensitive POS systems.
  • Ability to lift at least 10 lbs.
  • Capability to work in hot kitchen environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow directions and delegate tasks.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced setting.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
