Job summary

Holiday Inn Portland Airport is seeking a dependable Restaurant Line Cook to join our busy hotel kitchen. You will prepare breakfast, dinner and banquet meals, work with a team, and deliver consistent, high-quality plates for guests.

You should have line cook or kitchen experience, understand food safety, and be ready to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We value teamwork, reliability, and pride in your craft; open availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Has a Valid OR Food Handlers Card; OLCC Certification & ServSafe a Plus.
• Loves cooking and takes pride in every plate.
• Works well under pressure during busy meal periods.
• Has previous line cook or commercial kitchen experience.
• Understands food safety and sanitation standards.
• Can multitask while maintaining quality.
• Is dependable and arrives ready to work every shift.
• Communicates well with coworkers and restaurant staff.
• Is committed to providing exceptional guest experiences.
• Has open availability – including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality menu items using standardized recipes
• Set up and stock your cooking station before each shift
• Cook and plate food with consistency and attention to detail
• Maintain proper food temperatures and safe food handling practices
• Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, marinating, and labeling
• Work closely with servers to ensure timely ticket completion
• Help receive and properly store food deliveries
• Assist with banquet and special event food preparation
• Complete opening and closing kitchen duties
• Keep your workstation clean, organized, and inspection-ready throughout your shift
