Sapp Bros., Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operations and develop a cohesive team. You will ensure high-quality food, maintain safety standards, and drive efficiency in daily restaurant work.

You will hire, train, and mentor staff while controlling costs and upholding our blessing-and-serving culture. This role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and delivering five-star service to guests.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management or leadership experience in restaurant operations.
• Customer service experience preferred (3+ years).
• Strong leadership skills that motivate and inspire a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen staff by example, delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining professionalism.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach and lead kitchen staff to support daily operations.
• Ensure consistent food quality, proper preparation and presentation of menu items.
• Manage inventory, place orders, monitor stock rotation and control costs.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation and health regulations, including temperatures and handling.
• Assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed to keep operations smooth.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and daily cleaning routines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high standards of professionalism.

Hire, train, schedule, coach, and lead kitchen staff to support efficient daily operations.

Ensure consistent food quality, proper preparation, and presentation of all menu items.

Manage food inventory, place orders, monitor stock rotation, and control food costs.

Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper food temperatures and handling.

Assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed to maintain smooth operations.

Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and ensure daily cleaning routines are completed.

Monitor food waste, maintain proper portion control, and document waste to support cost management.

Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including the industrial dishwasher.

Communicate effectively with the Restaurant Manager and other departments to ensure consistent service and smooth operations.
