Job summary

Sapp Bros., Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations, develop the team, and ensure consistent food quality and safety standards.

You will manage inventory, staff schedules, and costs while collaborating with the Restaurant Manager to deliver exceptional guest service and uphold our Blessing and Serving Others mission.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of leadership/management experience in restaurant operations.
• 3+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver exceptional guest service and uphold professionalism.
• Hire, train, schedule, coach, and supervise kitchen staff.
• Ensure consistent food quality, proper preparation, and presentation of all menu items.
• Manage food inventory, orders, stock rotation, and cost control.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations; monitor temperatures and handling.
• Assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and daily cleaning routines.
• Monitor food waste and portion control; document waste for cost management.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including the industrial dishwasher.
• Communicate with the Restaurant Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example to deliver exceptional guest service and maintain high standards of professionalism.

Hire, train, schedule, coach, and lead kitchen staff to support efficient daily operations.

Ensure consistent food quality, proper preparation, and presentation of all menu items.

Manage food inventory, place orders, monitor stock rotation, and control food costs.

Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, including proper food temperatures and handling.

Assist with food preparation and other kitchen duties as needed to maintain smooth operations.

Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and ensure daily cleaning routines are completed.

Monitor food waste, maintain proper portion control, and document waste to support cost management.

Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including the industrial dishwasher.

Communicate effectively with the Restaurant Manager and other departments to ensure consistent service and smooth operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of management or leadership experience in restaurant operations.
• Customer service experience (3+ years preferred).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
