Job summary

The Breakers Palm Beach is seeking a Restaurant Chef to lead and manage kitchen operations with a hands-on approach. You will model enthusiasm, ensure high-quality dishes, and enforce food safety protocols and standardized recipes.

As a dynamic supervisor, you will train the culinary team, oversee ordering, scheduling, payroll, and inventory, and collaborate with the Area Chef to drive excellence. A culture of accountability and growth will guide daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a culinary team in a restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience with kitchen administration and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model for enthusiasm, energy, and professionalism in the kitchen
• Conduct training sessions to ensure team members are well-prepared
• Monitor and uphold food quality and guest experiences during shifts
• Oversee food ordering and receiving processes to maintain quality and standards
• Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Collaborate with the Area Chef to achieve kitchen goals effectively
• Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams to maintain a cohesive working environment
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and continuously improve operations
• Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, training, payroll, labor management, and inventory management
