Tech24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Foodservice Technician to join CKR, a Tech24 company, delivering on-site repair and maintenance for restaurants and foodservice operations nationwide.

You will drive a company vehicle to customer sites, diagnose and repair equipment, maintain stock, and ensure safety while delivering top-quality service. 3-5 years of industry experience, valid driver's license, regional travel, and on-call availability are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair or a related field.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work independently.
• Ownership of industry-standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Communicate with customers and branch staff about repair status and schedules.
• Complete service tickets accurately and on time.
• Maintain truck stock and keep vehicles/tools/uniforms compliant with standards.
• Mentor less experienced technicians and promote safety.

As a Commercial Foodservice Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our customers’ kitchens stay operational. You’ll drive a company vehicle to customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving problems, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect equipment and related components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and branch staff to provide updates on repair status and manage schedules.
• Complete service tickets accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain truck stock to ensure all necessary parts are readily available.
• Keep service vehicles, tools, and uniforms in compliance with Tech24 standards.
• Serve as a mentor and positive example for less experienced technicians by demonstrating professionalism and expertise.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety.

What We’re Looking For

• A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Superb customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
• Standard computer skills and ownership of industry-standard hand tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.
• A hunger to learn new techniques and approaches to stay ahead in the industry.
• Prior industry experience is required.

Compensation Transparency

The advertised pay range for this position is $32-$45. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, manufacture certifications, or specialized expertise may be considered at the higher end of the range.
