Greets restaurant guests with a positive, friendly attitude. Ensures guests are seated in a timely manner and have a favorable dining experience. May also handle phone calls, answer questions about the restaurant and menu, and assist staff when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Greeting, welcoming, and seating guests.
  • Assigning wait staff to service guests in their sections.
  • Answering phones, greeting customers, and tracking seat availability.
  • Assisting wait and bar staff.
  • Helping with bussing and resetting tables.
  • Cleaning host area and restaurant entrance.
  • Ensuring safety and security of employees and customers.
