Job Description

The Restaurant Host will warmly greet guests upon arrival, guide them to their designated seating, and efficiently process payments upon the completion of their meal.

Responsibilities

1. Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners.
2. Greet guests, escort them to tables, provide menus, and manage place settings as required.
3. Address guest complaints as directed by the supervisor.
4. Assign work tasks and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure prompt and courteous service.
5. Inspect dining areas for cleanliness and order, and requisition supplies as needed.
6. Notify servers of new tables and inform kitchen staff of large parties.
7. Assist in training dining room staff and scheduling work hours.
8. Assist in planning menus and preparing beverages or food orders if needed.
9. Handle cash register operations, verify sales, and process payments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
