Job summary

American Social in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, manage the waiting list, and coordinate seating to ensure smooth restaurant flow. You will use our seating system, communicate with servers and managers, and help maintain inviting front-of-house operations.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, fluent in English, and able to work late-night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Able to work late-night shifts (potentially 12 AM–3 AM).
• Alcohol awareness certification a plus.
• Food handling certificate a plus.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Seat guests, maintain the waiting list, and notify waiting guests when seating is available.
• Utilize seating system to ensure proper guest flow and monitor reservations.
• Communicate with servers and managers regarding seating availability and large parties.
• Keep host area stocked and clean, maintain sanitation standards, and assist with front-of-house tasks.
