Job description

Ralph's American Grill is seeking a Host/Hostess to join our team! The Host/Hostess welcomes guests to the restaurant and provides fast and courteous service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and repeat business.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Greets guests in a prompt and courteous manner; seats guests ensuring a balanced workload among servers.
2. Assigns and informs servers of stations for meal periods.
3. Processes take-out orders; may answer room service phones and process room service orders; practices suggestive selling techniques.
4. Receives customer payments from servers and processes transactions on the cash register as outlined in the cash and charge procedures; gives correct change; balances cash drawer at the close of shift; completes all opening and closing paperwork; documents voids on the void balance sheet.
5. May assist server’s assistants in clearing, cleaning, and setting tables.
