Job summary

Pembroke & Co., Inc. is seeking a Restaurant General Manager in Tampa, FL to lead daily operations, drive performance, and shape the guest experience. The role involves hands-on leadership with a 50-hour work week, flexible scheduling (5 or 6 days), and occasional late shifts to foster team culture.

The GM will recruit, train, and coach staff, manage labor costs, and oversee service quality, safety standards, and store marketing initiatives. A monthly bonus is tied to store performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience managing a QSR or restaurant (preferred). Open to retail, grocery, or c-store experience.
• ServSafe Certification (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to train a team and develop people for growth.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated understanding of confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on role.
• Basic math, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage recruiting, hiring and training of team members; build a positive, accountable team culture; provide ongoing feedback, recognize performance and resolve team concerns.
• Operations & Guest Experience: Create a guest-first culture and lead by example to deliver excellent service; maintain brand standards, cleanliness, and food safety; ensure proper staffing to keep shifts running smoothly and efficiently.
• Business & Financial Performance: Drive sales and execute local marketing efforts; control labor, food costs, and cash handling; review performance and take action to improve results.
• Administrative & Operational Support: Manage scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering; forecast staffing and business needs; complete basic reporting and admin tasks.
