Job description

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to oversee The Rooftop by JG (https://www.instagram.com/therooftopbyjg/). This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading hospitality company and a renowned restaurant group.

This Forbes 5-Star property features 170 rooms, 6,300 sq ft of banquet space, and four food & beverage outlets, including two restaurants, a lobby lounge, and in-room dining.

The role involves managing The Rooftop by JG with a team of 50, reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage. The restaurant offers panoramic city views and serves American classics for lunch and dinner.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a passion for exceptional service, keen attention to detail, and the ability to develop team members. A minimum of four years' restaurant management experience in fine dining and high-volume settings is required. Experience in union environments and luxury hotels is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all outlet operations, including guest service standards, product quality, cost controls, marketing initiatives, budgeting, policy enforcement, and meetings.
  • Develop and monitor team performance through supervision, training, evaluations, and recognition.
  • Assess and improve product and service satisfaction trends.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol standards.
  • Implement marketing and upselling strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain team knowledge of offerings, policies, and local area events.
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members.
