Overview

Why We Need Your Talents:

The General Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of the Restaurant and staff. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, providing exceptional internal and external guest service, monitoring food presentation and quality, leading our team members with a positive and engaging spirit, and effectively managing the outlet’s P&L. The GM’s overall leadership and partnership with the culinary and service staff are paramount to our success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create a strong partnership with the culinary and front of house staff to ensure exceptional guest service, consistent dish presentation, and food quality.
  2. Maintain open communication with staff and foster a team spirit.
  3. Work closely with servers/hostesses and culinary staff to ensure proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness exceeding expectations.
  4. Supervise and assist in guest service training for all team members.
  5. Manage quality control of service and timeliness of food & alcohol orders.
  6. Evaluate and respond to guest trends, needs, issues, and comments.
  7. Assist with developing marketing strategies to drive new visitation, guest loyalty, and VIP events.
  8. Help create venue awareness through social media channels.
  9. Stay abreast of competitive techniques and strive for continuous improvement.
  10. Ensure the outlet’s physical appearance/FFE is maintained in exceptional condition.
  11. Ensure compliance with all regulations related to food, alcohol, and gaming.
  12. Coordinate with culinary and purchasing teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  13. Optimize control of labor, food, and beverage costs.
  14. Perform continuous process improvements for enhancing amenities for Asian guests and support for gaming pit areas and retail opportunities.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

  • Fluency in English and one or more Asiatic languages.
  • Extensive knowledge of Pacific Rim culinary principles, ingredients, and preparation techniques related to various ethnic dishes and flavor profiles.
  • General beverage knowledge including spirits, wine, beer, and cordials.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Knowledge of sanitation laws, health regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Micros, Aloha.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, P&L review, percentages, and variances.

Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a 4-year degree in related fields is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in restaurant management and supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret operational results.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to perform duties under pressure.
  • Accuracy in completing tasks timely.
  • Must be certified in alcohol awareness.
  • Ability to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
  • Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
  • Use of stairs and elevators.
