Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a General Manager to lead a single restaurant, directing daily operations, staff development, guest service and adherence to company policies. The General Manager must be available for long and irregular hours to ensure smooth restaurant performance.

You will oversee budget performance, scheduling, inventory, safety compliance, and maintain a guest-focused culture while upholding standards across all areas of the operation.

Qualifications

• Extensive restaurant management experience with strong leadership skills.
• Ability to oversee daily operations, maintain quality, service and sanitation.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, staffing and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure quality food, service and sanitation.
• Supervise management and hourly staff; assign daily work tasks.
• Meet budgetary targets; manage costs, staffing, and profitability.
• Reconcile cash, deposits, and daily receipts.
• Prepare administrative reports and maintain records per policies.
• Recruit, interview and hire staff; train and develop managers and staff.
• Develop staff schedules and approve overtime; lead meetings.
