This position is for our client, a premier Japanese dining establishment located in Hollywood, CA. The role focuses on overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of service, food quality, and guest satisfaction. As the General Manager, you’ll lead a team, drive business performance, and deliver an exceptional dining experience. While prior restaurant management experience is essential, a passion for Japanese cuisine and hospitality is key to success. Comprehensive training and career development will be provided. The position offers flexible shift options to accommodate various schedules.

[Responsibilities]

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including both front-of-house and kitchen functions
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and a memorable dining experience for every guest
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff across multiple departments
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial goals, including inventory control and cost management
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and safety
  • Respond promptly to customer feedback, complaints, and inquiries, ensuring a positive experience
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the highest quality and consistency in food offerings
  • Lead by example in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment during peak service hours
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Drive team performance and foster a positive, inclusive work environment

[Qualifications]

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager in a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong understanding of food service operations, especially in Japanese or Asian fusion dining
  • Proven ability in financial management, cost control, and inventory management
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and leading a diverse team
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and authentic dining experiences
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including night shifts (required) and day shifts (preferred)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations
  • $90,000–$100,000/year (Depending on Experience)
  • Full-time, exempt position
  • Shift Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with availability for day, evening, and night shifts
