Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a General Manager to lead the Starbucks team at Washington Dulles National Airport, IAD. This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence, and developing people in a fast-paced airport environment.

The GM will own P&L and labor management, build dynamic schedules, coach leaders, and ensure brand standards, safety, and guest satisfaction while driving business results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant P&L management experience.
• 5-7 years of restaurant/QSR leadership in quick-service or high-volume environments.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate teams and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Flexible availability including openings, closings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Leads and inspires a team to deliver outstanding guest service while creating a positive, engaging work environment.
• Holds managers and associates accountable for operational excellence, ensuring the restaurant is clean, staffed, stocked, and ready for business every day.
• Recruits, hires, trains, coaches, and develops team members while promoting a culture of recognition, inclusion, and employee engagement.
• Builds effective schedules, deploys labor strategically, and manages staffing needs to support business goals and profitability.
• Takes ownership of restaurant financial performance, including P&L management, cost controls, inventory management, and sales growth initiatives.
• Maintains brand standards and ensures compliance with all Starbucks, HMSHost, airport, and health and safety requirements.
• Resolves guest and associate concerns with professionalism while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
• Monitors equipment, product levels, and operational processes to ensure the restaurant runs efficiently and effectively.
• Uses data, reports, and operational metrics to identify opportunities, drive results, and improve overall performance.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, successfully managing multiple priorities while developing future leaders.

What we're looking for:

• Ability to motivate teams, drive engagement, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Flexible availability to work varied schedules, including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
