Restaurant General Manager (Food Services)
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing all business aspects of the restaurant, leading day-to-day operations, and providing excellent customer service to our members and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Create an atmosphere that allows guests to feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.
- Manage all business aspects of the restaurant.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed.
- Responsible for all staff hiring and training.
- Manage budgets, inventory control, and accounting principles of the business.
- Set and meet goals to ensure guest and staff satisfaction, as well as financial success.
- Diffuse tense situations between patrons or staff to prevent safety or legal issues; eject unruly persons if needed.
- Sustain and optimize profitability, performance, and guest satisfaction.
- Be available to work overtime when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
- Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete related training.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment as required.
- Report all accidents, injuries, spills, and near misses immediately.
Technical and Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- TIPS certification preferred.
- 2 years restaurant experience preferred.
- Proficient in social media and administrative duties.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, reach, and rotate.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
