Job summary

Horizon Hospitality Associates, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to oversee all F&B operations at a luxury Upstate New York resort. This is a hands-on leadership role with daily floor presence and direct responsibility for beverage management, budgeting, and guest experiences.

You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and hotel teams to drive operational excellence and prepare for new dining venues and bar outlets across upcoming expansions.

Qualifications

• Executive GM experience in boutique luxury resort or high-end F&B setting.
• Experience in beverage management and inventory control.
• Strong admin/financial skills including labor management and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational leadership and floor presence across all F&B venues on property.
• Direct, lead, and mentor a team of ~45–50 staff in collaboration with the AGM and Floor Manager.
• Own the beverage program: curation, ordering, inventory control, and staff training.
• Oversee scheduling, labor budget adherence, payroll reconciliation, and tip pool management.
• Partner with executive chef, hotel management, events team, and department heads to deliver cohesive guest experiences.
• Prepare operations systems and team structures for upcoming property expansions.

A high-profile luxury resort nestled in Upstate New York is seeking a talented and experienced General Manager to oversee all food and beverage operations.

This is far more than a standard restaurant management role; it is an opportunity to lead a passionate team within a design-forward destination renowned for its luxury ethos and collaborative, heart-centered culture. The successful candidate will serve as the operational backbone of the food and beverage program, guiding daily service on the floor, managing beverage operations, and partnering directly with executive leadership as the property plans for exciting future outlet expansions.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational leadership and floor presence across all food and beverage venues on property.
• Direct, lead, and mentor a dedicated team of approximately 45–50 staff members in close collaboration with the Assistant General Manager and Floor Manager.
• Take full ownership of the beverage program, including curation, ordering, inventory control, and staff training.
• Oversee key administrative functions, including scheduling, labor budget adherence, payroll reconciliation, and tip pool management.
• Partner closely with the executive chef, hotel management, events team, and property department heads to deliver exceptional, cohesive guest experiences.
• Prepare operational systems and team structures for upcoming property expansions, including new dining venues and bar outlets.

What We're Looking For

• Proven executive leadership experience as a General Manager in a boutique luxury resort, high-end hotel F&B operation, or elevated restaurant setting.
• Demonstrated experience in full-scale beverage management and inventory control.
• Strong administrative and financial capabilities, including proficiency in labor management, payroll processes, and navigating complex Excel spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with industry-standard hospitality systems, including point-of-sale platforms (e.g., Lightspeed or Toast), reservation software (e.g., Resy), and payroll/PMS systems.
• A highly collaborative, approachable management style with a drive to develop and mentor rising talent within the team.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $85,000–$95,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Performance Bonus: Annual bonus potential (typically $5,000)
