Established in 2010, Fabian's Italian Bistro & Bar in Fair Oaks is an award-winning, family-owned restaurant, offering a chef driven, seasonal menu featuring local ingredients. We are seeking talented applicants with a passion for food and fine dining to join our team. We are currently looking to fill the position of GENERAL MANAGER.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of all areas of operation while supporting the staff, and ensuring guest needs are met and exceeded.
Oversee all staffing needs, including scheduling, recruiting, hiring, training, and discipline.
Monitor presentation, handling and serving of all food and beverage products to ensure quality and consistency.
Maintain a clean and safe restaurant at all times while adhering to local health and sanitation standards.
Close the restaurant nightly, as well as properly securing the facility.
Maintain accurate inventories and process weekly orders.
Assist ownership with goals of reducing labor and food costs.
Oversee social media marketing and create content on a regular basis.
Lead by example with passion, respect, integrity, and determination.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be full of energy and enthusiasm, with a passion for customer service
Candidate must be focused, disciplined and have the ability to run restaurant operations and handle administrative duties
Minimum 2 years experience as a food and beverage leader in a full-service restaurant or hotel
Excellent leadership skills
Ability to coach, teach and mentor
Professional demeanor under pressure
Ability to handle a quick pace and multitask
Comprehensive food, wine & cocktail knowledge
POS and OpenTable experience preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age
SCHEDULING:
Wednesday - Sunday
Two consecutive days off (Monday/Tuesday)
50 - 60 Hours per week
Holiday availability required, with the exception of the following closed days: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing and walking for extended periods required
Lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
Fast-paced environment; may be hot, cold, and/or loud at times
All applicants must possess all certifications required by law within 30 days of employment, including Food Manager's Certification, Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Training, and Sexual Harassment Training. Background checks are a required prior to employment.
