Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose

Service of food and/or beverage, including order-taking and delivery, in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner to ensure high guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions
  1. Check station before, during, and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
  2. Greet guests courteously and explain specials/promotions.
  3. Record and repeat guest orders for accuracy.
  4. Input orders into POS system and communicate with kitchen.
  5. Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments, adhering to liquor regulations.
  6. Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
  7. Market and serve desserts or specialty coffees upon request.
  8. Present check and process payment according to hotel procedures.
Supportive Functions

Perform cleaning, reset tables, replenish condiments, answer calls, handle guest requests, and attend meetings as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of food/beverage service, standards, and etiquette.
  • Understanding of menu items, table settings, and serviceware.
  • English proficiency for communication and order recording.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and operate relevant equipment.
  • Proficiency with POS systems.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 6 months to 1 year serving experience preferred. Must obtain Louisiana Responsible Vendor Permit.
