Position Overview

The Restaurant Floor Manager position manages the restaurant operation to ensure efficient and profitable operations. Managers are responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety. Reports to the Restaurant Store Lead.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
  2. Managing staff and providing them with feedback.
  3. Training staff in all hospitality and culinary standards.
  4. Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards and policies.
  5. Understanding and implementing all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  6. Meeting and greeting customers.
  7. Running both the front of the house and back of the house.
  8. Advising customers on menu and beverage choices.
  9. Ensuring all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
  10. Recruiting, training, and motivating staff.
  11. Stepping in to perform necessary roles when employees are absent.
  12. Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
  13. Analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability.
  14. Organizing marketing activities, such as promotional events.
  15. Responsible for the opening and closing check-out processes.
  16. Ensuring that all restaurant equipment is maintained and properly working.
  17. Planning and coordinating menus.
  18. Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 2 years of full-service restaurant experience.
  2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  4. Technically savvy with a minimum of 2 years of experience with restaurant POS systems, computers, and online delivery and carry-out apps.
  5. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance and 50 lbs. with assistance.
  6. Work in a hot and noisy environment.
  7. Must have high integrity and a solid work ethic.
  8. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  9. Expected to work long hours during peak periods, evenings, and weekends.
  10. Having or obtaining a food safety and/or alcohol certification.
