Job summary

El Super #4 in Los Angeles is hiring a Restaurant Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. The role focuses on customer service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, inviting dining area in the cafe/restaurant section.

Starting rate is $18.47 per hour, with hours including nights and weekends; candidates should be able to lift up to 60 pounds and have basic PC/Outlook skills or willingness to learn. El Super is part of the Chedraui USA group and values community and affordable fresh food.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and coworkers.
• Apply common-sense understanding to follow detailed but simple instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds (up to 25-60 depending on task).

The Opportunity

The Restaurant Clerk position is one of the key contact points for our customers service experience and will Assist with the preparation of grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards for preparation and presentation and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant.

Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food.
