Position Overview

The Restaurant Clerk is a key contact point for our customer service experience, assisting with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items while following precise company standards for preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation of grilled and hot items in the El Super section.
• Maintain a clean and inviting restaurant area.
• Interact with customers and colleagues in Spanish and English.
• Follow detailed written and oral instructions for food safety and service.
• Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write Spanish and English.
• Ability to read simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (desirable).
• Retail Management Certificate (desirable).

Work Hours

Must be able to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends.

Required Certifications

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to the preparation, handling, and serving of food.
