Location: Embassy Suites on Airport Way, Portland, Oregon

Venue: Waters Bar and Grille inside Embassy Suites Hotel

Position: Part-time

Benefits: Free shift meal, free parking, travel discounts, and more when joining our Embassy Suites family.

Schedule: Must have weekday availability; 2-3 shifts per week; Saturday & Sunday, 3:30 pm to 11 pm

Pay: $16.50/hour plus tips

The Embassy Suites Portland Airport features 251 suites and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space. Located less than half a mile from Portland International Airport, it offers convenient access to public transit and nearby attractions.

Role Summary: The primary purpose of the Restaurant Bartender is to provide guests with an excellent restaurant and bar experience, ensuring beverages are properly prepared and served following established protocols.

Work Performed:

• Provide exceptional service to guests, welcoming and serving courteously
• Dispense alcoholic beverages in accordance with liquor laws and company policies
• Perform side duties: cleaning, sanitizing, garnish prep, stocking, etc.
• Ensure alcohol is removed from counters/tables before closing
• Complete opening and closing duties
• Manage cash and tips properly
• Follow health and safety guidelines for sanitation and cross-contamination prevention
• Rotate food and maintain cleanliness
• Follow all safety and security policies
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

Required: 6 months of bartender experience; high school diploma or equivalent; Oregon Food Handlers and OLCC Alcohol Awareness certifications (must be obtained within first 30 days)

Preferred: Hospitality experience; familiarity with Micros system

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally, 10 lbs regularly; bend, squat, walk, and stand for entire shift

Other: Flexibility to work day shifts, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
