Essential Job Functions

1. Knowledge of alcohol safety and responsible serving guidelines.
2. Know all garnishes and tools needed for a complete bar setup.
3. Keep service stations neat, clean, and follow sanitation guidelines.
4. Greet and serve guests with excellent customer service using appropriate language.
5. Be attentive to guests’ needs at all times, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
6. Know liquors and beverages for each function served and be prepared to offer alternatives.
7. Ability to read and speak English.
8. Ability to accept tips where permitted.
9. Able to lift, push, and carry 20-40 lbs., such as bars, dish carts, glass racks, liquor/wine boxes.
10. Ability to bend, kneel, and maneuver in narrow areas.
11. Ability to stand continuously during shifts.
12. Follow client and facility standards and regulations.
13. Wear appropriate uniforms for all banquet events.
14. Flexible schedule; workdays, times, and breaks may vary, especially end times.
