Job summary

Life Time in Irvine seeks a professional bartender to prepare cocktails and beverages while engaging with members. You will ensure compliance with alcohol laws, handle payments, and provide food service as needed.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean bar, restocking inventory, and reconciling cash at shift end. CPR/AED certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bartending experience.

• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to prepare cocktails and other drinks, including garnishes.
• Serve members and customers promptly, including checking IDs, handling payments, and answering questions.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and return used dishware to bar/kitchen.
• Restock liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients; replace beer barrels.
• Reconcile the bar's cash register at end of shift.

Job description

Position Summary

The Bartender understands and follows alcohol serving laws. They prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages while interacting with customers, taking and serving food as necessary. The Bartender maintains a clean and sanitized environment

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows recipes in order to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnish
• Serves members and customers in a timely fashion, including checking identification, accepting payment, and answering any questions that may arise
• Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surface, furniture, and equipment and returning used dishware to the bar/kitchen
• Maintains supplies by re-stocking liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients and replacing beer barrels
• Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
• Certified to serve alcohol
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with inventory and ordering

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.50 and pays up to $19.50, based on experience and qualifications.
