Job summary

Life Time is seeking a Bartender who understands alcohol serving laws and prepares cocktails and beverages while interacting with members. The role requires maintaining a clean, sanitized bar and providing friendly service.

You will follow recipes, serve guests, process payments, stock liquor and beverages, and ensure accurate cash handling at shift end. CPR/AED certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of bartending experience preferred.
• Certified to serve alcohol.
• CPR/AED certification required within first 30 days of hire.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. on a routine basis.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to prepare cocktails and other drinks, including garnishes.
• Serve members and customers in a timely manner and handle payments.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and return used dishware to bar/kitchen.
• Restock liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients; replace beer kegs as needed.
• Reconcile the cash register at the end of the shift.

Position Summary

The Bartender understands and follows alcohol serving laws. They prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages while interacting with customers, taking and serving food as necessary. The Bartender maintains a clean and sanitized environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows recipes in order to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnish
• Serves members and customers in a timely fashion, including checking identification, accepting payment, and answering any questions that may arise
• Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surface, furniture, and equipment and returning used dishware to the bar/kitchen
• Maintains supplies by re-stocking liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients and replacing beer barrels
• Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
• Certified to serve alcohol
• CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with inventory and ordering
