The Restaurant & Bar Manager ensures that the restaurant and the Bars deliver attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service. This role involves managing operations within budgeted payroll and overhead costs while continuously enhancing sales revenues for the Restaurant, Room Service, Bar & Lounge operations to exceed budget expectations. The Restaurant & Bar Manager will work as needed daily to fulfill job responsibilities.

Description

The Restaurant & Bar Manager ensures that the restaurant and the Bars deliver attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service. This role involves managing operations within budgeted payroll and overhead costs while continuously enhancing sales revenues for the Restaurant, Room Service, Bar & Lounge operations to exceed budget expectations. The Restaurant & Bar Manager will work as needed daily to fulfill job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage staffing levels and payroll to stay within budgeted costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue across all service areas.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet budget goals.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain service standards and promote a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; alternatively, a 2-year college degree plus three or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in restaurant/ bar management or a similar role.
  • Ability to perform well in high-pressure and stressful situations. Must maintain composure and objectivity under stress.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and addressing workplace issues as needed.
  • Wine knowledge preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
