Job summary

Hotel Domestique and Restaurant 17 in upstate South Carolina are seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager to lead daily service and elevate guest experiences.

Be present during meals, train staff, supervise events, and coordinate with the Chef and Food & Beverage Director. Willingness to work holidays/weekends and basic computer skills are expected; hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to work 8+ hours during holidays and weekends.
• Prior experience in a hotel or restaurant is a plus.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Be present during meal service periods and events.
• Have a passion for wine.
• Train, evaluate, and coach the service team to enhance performance.
• Participate in staff meetings to foster development and plan events.
• Execute superior guest relations and service.
• Act as a liaison for guests, ensuring their needs are met.
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss expectations and team goals.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements regarding food and beverage operations.
• Communicate daily with the Chef and Food and Beverage Director.
• Monitor employee attendance and guest interactions.
