Seasons Pizza in Elkton, MD is hiring an Assistant Manager to coordinate all restaurant operations. You will support team members, hire, schedule, train, motivate, and terminate staff as needed, while maintaining food safety, budgeting, and high-quality standards.

You will oversee customer service, manage staff performance, and ensure efficient daily operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and inventory. Weekend/evening shifts required with 40–50 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; undergraduate degree preferred in Hospitality.
• Experience: At least two years as Seasons Pizza employee or three years as supervisor/manager in restaurant or food-oriented retail.
• Physical: Able to stand/walk long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Cognitive: Ability to read, speak and understand English.
• Work Schedule: Weekend/evening hours; 40–50 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Follow opening and closing checklist procedures.
• Review management log book daily.
• Knowledgeable in all position tasks and cover shifts as needed.
• Train all front of house team members to work stations efficiently and safely.
• Ensure phones are answered promptly and guests are greeted; provide quick, effective customer service.
• Hold team members accountable; take disciplinary action with documentation when needed.
• Prepare and cook all menu items according to spec.
• Ensure kitchen procedures (sanitation, par levels, portion control, rotation) are followed.
• Monitor dining room service standards (if applicable).
• Complete and monitor cash handling throughout the shift.
• Assign deliveries to drivers and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries within OTD standards.
• Prepare for deferred deliveries and notify kitchen staff of large orders.
• Follow vendor delivery procedures and health dept. guidelines.
• Assign registers, perform cash drops, and keep money organized.
