Job Description
Manages daily operations of the assigned outlet(s) during a shift. Directly supervises servers, bartenders, bussers, food runners (all front of house) and reports to the Food and Beverage Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervises outlet operations, services, and product quality during assigned shifts.
- Responsible for all front of house operations; maintains back of house standards indirectly.
- Involved in hiring, training, and developing personnel.
- Ensures accountability for OJT manuals, 90-day timelines, SOPs, Snapshots, and coaching.
- Shares responsibility for budgets, P&L statements, cost analysis, planning, and promotions with the Outlet Manager.
- Counsels and guides staff, providing both corrective and positive feedback.
- Monitors food presentation and communication standards.
- Schedules staff to ensure high service levels while controlling labor costs.
- Ensures compliance with regulations, controls, policies, and manages assets.
- Maintains cleanliness, safety, and proper condition of all areas.
- Implements training programs to ensure high service quality.
- Available to work any shift, any day as needed.
Banquet Department Responsibilities
- Oversees overall banquet operations, including hiring, development, budgeting, and long-range planning.
- Coordinates with sales and kitchen for food service and menu presentation.
- Supervises banquet staff to ensure exceptional guest service.
- Maintains standards for safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Prepares budgets and conducts performance reviews.
- Acts as a role model and maintains professional standards.
Management Duties
Includes interviewing, training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining staff, and ensuring safety and legal compliance.
Knowledge, Skills & Education
- College degree preferred.
- Knowledge of food and labor costs, budgeting, and P&L management.
- Strong managerial and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and motivate staff.
- Minimum of 5 years’ restaurant industry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Long periods of standing, sitting, and computer work.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach, bend, and rotate torso.
- Work in hot or cold environments, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
