Job description

Restaurant Assistant General Manager: Level99

Level99 1961 Chain Bridge Rd, Tysons, VA 22102 Start Date09/12/2026

Level99 is hiring an Assistant Restaurant General Manager for its Tysons, Virginia venue. The full-time, onsite role leads beverage operations within a high-volume entertainment and food-service setting. The position reports through the Food and Beverage leadership team and works with culinary, event sales, and entertainment groups.

The employer is hiring for a restaurant assistant general manager role with an advertised annual salary range of $70,000 to $80,000. The work includes inventory control, staff scheduling, training, guest safety, cash handling, and compliance. The Tysons venue operates inside Tysons Corner Mall, and the workweek includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage. The schedule averages five onsite days and nine hours per day, with seasonal increases.

  • Location: 1961 Chain Bridge Rd, Tysons, VA 22102

  • Employment type: Full-time, onsite

  • Advertised salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year

  • Primary focus: Beverage operations, team leadership, guest service, safety, and cost control

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of restaurant or event operations management experience. The application materials should address beverage-program leadership, staff development, guest relations, and the ability to work an active onsite schedule.

Level99 operates a challenge-based entertainment venue with a full-service bar, restaurant, event spaces, and more than 50 life‑size games. The assistant general manager works across those functions rather than managing a dining room in isolation.

Food And Beverage Leadership At Level99

The role leads the beverage program and supports the daily operation of the Brew Hall and Taproom. Beverage inventory, supply ordering, menu knowledge, staff training, cash reconciliation, audits, and paper‑product orders all fall within the operating scope. The manager also controls labor and operating costs while maintaining service routines.

The role works with restaurant professionals across culinary, events, and entertainment functions. Event activity can change service volume, guest movement, and staffing needs, so the manager coordinates with those groups during operating shifts.

Inventory, Staffing, And Shift Control

Staff leadership begins with recruiting and continues through onboarding, scheduling, training, coaching, and development. The position directs servers and support staff during shifts and establishes expectations through active floor leadership. New operational technology must be learned and used accurately.

  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering, and supply levels.

  • Schedule, recruit, onboard, and train servers and support staff.

  • Coordinate with culinary, entertainment, and event sales teams.

  • Direct shift operations and facility‑maintenance routines.

  • Reconcile cash, support audits, and monitor operating costs.

  • Maintain Brew Hall and Taproom menu knowledge.

The role requires an energetic leadership style, strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and sound judgment under pressure. Restaurant operations careers often combine staffing, service, and financial controls, and this position assigns all three to the same management seat.

Guest Service And Food Safety

Guest contact remains part of the management work. The assistant general manager builds repeat patron relationships, handles difficult situations, protects guest safety, and keeps service standards consistent during active shifts. The assistant general manager also enforces food‑safety standards and entertainment‑risk procedures.

The position includes coordination with legal, insurance, landlord, and company‑policy requirements. In Virginia, a food establishment generally needs a supervisory employee with authority over food preparation and service to hold certified food protection manager status under the Virginia Department of Health guidance . ServSafe certification, allergen training, and ChokeSaver certification are desirable qualifications for this role.

Training, Technology, And Advancement

The position requires at least two years of restaurant or event operations management experience, or equivalent experience in a high‑volume entertainment or food‑and‑beverage business. A hospitality or related bachelor's degree is preferred. The manager must lift and carry up to 50 pounds, remain active for extended periods, and work shifts that can exceed nine hours.

Level99 provides health insurance with PPO and HMO options, dental and vision plans, life coverage, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, disability coverage, Teladoc, prepaid legal coverage, identity theft protection, and a 401(k) among its Level99 benefits . The company also identifies culinary and venue management as career areas and provides free admission to its attractions. The assistant general manager can work across food service, hospitality, and entertainment operations.

Tysons Venue And Regional Operations

The Tysons location occupies Level 2 of Tysons Corner Mall next to Urban Outfitters. The venue's public operating hours extend into late evening and early morning periods on Friday and Saturday, so the management schedule covers service beyond a conventional daytime restaurant shift. The site welcomes walk‑in guests when capacity allows.

Level99 also operates venues in Natick, Providence, and Disney Springs, with additional locations planned in West Hartford, Paramus, King of Prussia, and Raleigh. The Tysons role therefore sits within a multi‑location food and entertainment company while retaining responsibility for local service, beverage, and team operations.

Applicants with restaurant or event operations management experience should settle their availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage before applying. The role also requires a valid approach to guest safety, food handling, technology use, and physical work on the floor.

The Tysons assistant general manager works at the intersection of dining service, beverage control, and interactive entertainment. The position's daily decisions affect inventory, labor, guest relationships, safety procedures, and the coordination of several operating teams.
