Job summary

Sertoma Star Services is hiring a Rest Area Crew Member for the Three Rivers Rest Area (I-80, Minooka, IL 60447). The role is full-time, 40 hours/week, with shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm, including weekends on rotation. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour. Duties include cleaning rest areas, grounds, and supporting staff transport as needed.

We seek applicants with a HS diploma or GED and janitorial experience; valid driver’s license preferred. Comprehensive benefits and PTO are offered.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays with sufficient notice.
• Experience in janitorial maintenance preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record preferred.
• Ability to project a positive image to the public.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain rest area buildings and grounds under supervision.
• Transport staff and equipment if driving requirements are met.
• Follow the janitorial dress code on contract sites.
• Locating, loading, and returning all supplies and equipment to each location.
• Maintain equipment in clean working order and keep closet tidy.
• Relay problems to Rest Area Supervisor or Coordinator.
• Notify supervision of tardiness and absenteeism four hours before start.
• Conduct yourself professionally on the job site at all times.
