SMA Healthcare is seeking a diligent custodian to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks at our Florida facilities. The role involves sweeping, mopping, restroom sanitation, trash relining, and cleaning of offices and common areas.

You will also maintain safe work practices and assist with general site upkeep. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable of long shifts, and able to follow directions while working well with others.

• Clean walls, stalls, ceilings, vents; ensure cleanliness of lobby, entrances and outdoor areas.
• Maintain safety by following procedures and using equipment safely.

Essential Job Functions: (May not includeall duties performed.)

• Sweeps andmops all vinyl and ceramic tile floors. Cleans baseboards.
• Empties,cleans and relines waste baskets and sanitary containers.
• Cleans andsanitizes urinals, toilets, sinks, showers, wall partitions, fixtures andreplenishes restroom supplies.
• Cleansoffice and storage areas.
• Cleansstall walls, top of stalls, ceiling fixtures, vents and other surfaces asrequired.
• Picks uplitter in flower beds, surrounding landscape, entrance and exit ramps andpicnic areas.
• Cleansfoyer area, wipes down water faucets, benches, bulletin boards and newspaperracks.
• Maintainsawareness of proper safety procedures, guidelines and applies procedures indaily activities and tasks.
• Performsother work assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

There are no special educational requirements of this position.

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities:

Must be dependable, hard-working individual who is in good health,follows directions well, and gets along with other people. Ability to performmanual labor. Willingness to learn methods of cleaning. Knowledgeof custodial tasks and responsibilities, and understanding of custodialmaterials and chemicals. Ability tosafely work with equipment and mild chemicals common to the trade and do soin a manner safe to oneself, others in the area, and to the environment.

NecessarySpecial Requirements:

Possession of a valid Floridadriver's license, proof of personal automobile insurance, and have acceptabledriving record if required to drive Stewart-Marchman-Act Behavioral vehicleand/or use personal vehicle for SMA business.

Physical:

Mobilityand ability to bend and reach during an 8-12 hour day.Abilityto lift up to and including 50 lbs. Must be able to lift, push,pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to providesupport over time without fatigue.Regularly works in outside conditions that include inclement weather,heat and humidity.Fine motor skills for legible and accuratecharting, daily correspondence and presentation, either manually or orally.Work endurance ability to work 8-12 hour shifts with a meal break, aspossible. Routine 8-12 hour shifts. Hours and days off may vary. Extrahours may be required. Work assignment locations may vary.
