Job summary

DCSAM is seeking a detail-oriented rest area attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and operational facility for the traveling public. You will be responsible for monitoring the rest areas, coordinating with security and maintenance, and ensuring a professional, customer-friendly environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, being 18+, a valid driver’s license with 3 years of clean driving, reliable transportation, and the ability to multi-task while following safety

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Own reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working with the general public.
• Highly organized and able to multi-task.
• Must comply with the company drug and alcohol policy (pre-employment drug screen).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures.
• Works with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and operational rest area facility for travelers.
• Check rest rooms at least every two hours for cleanliness and operational effectiveness.
• Report incidents of vandalism, theft, accidents, and suspicious activity.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, subcontractors, security, and suppliers.
• Promote a strong customer service culture among project team members.

Job Description

The perfect applicant will need to have an eye for detail, all while using their skills and expertise to uphold our company’s morals and principles. This person will be responsible for providing a neat, clean, and operational rest area facility for the traveling public.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate a positive safety culture by performing responsibilities in full compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Works with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment.
• Displays friendly, helpful, and pleasant demeanor with travelling public.
• Follows safety procedures, policies, and guidelines of FDOT.
• Public safety and convenience are to be always considered.
• Reports all incidents of vandalism, theft, accidents, and extended stay vehicles etc. (see emergency call out list).
• Responsible for reporting and documenting any suspicious activity, needs and concerns.
• Ensures that employer expectations and quality standards are met.
• Checks rest rooms at least once every two (2) hours for cleanliness and operational effectiveness, adding supplies, as necessary.
• Keeps the storage area clean, neat, and secure.
• Removes all trash, paper, and other debris from grounds and parking lots.
• Keeps all walkways and necessary pathways clean and free of debris.
• Uses hand and power tools and performs required maintenance.
• Reports any needed necessary repairs.
• Perform all duties in line with Company policies and procedures as amended.
• Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, customers, subcontractors, security, and suppliers.
• Promote a strong customer service culture among project team members.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Must have own reliable transportation.
• Must be comfortable working with the general public and answering questions that customers may have.
• Must be highly organized and able to multi-task.
• Must be able to comply with the company drug and alcohol policy. (Pre-employment drug screen will be performed)

Pay rate: $14/hourly
