Job summary

United Airlines seeks a Specialist - Responsible Sourcing to advance the organization’s Responsible Sourcing objectives. The role supports program execution, data interpretation, and engagement with partners, suppliers, and internal teams.

The position is Chicago-based, hybrid with 2–3 days in-office weekly and travel ~20%. Responsibilities include coordinating partner activities, events, stakeholder engagement, and operational support for budgets and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in responsible sourcing, strategic planning, project management, or a related area.
• Ability to own department operations, budgets, special projects and provide administrative support.
• Experience collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to consider and incorporate multiple viewpoints.
• Creative, solutions-oriented approach with a willingness to explore new ideas.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to provide timely communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day coordination of relationships with partner organizations.
• Coordinate external partner activities, including national conferences, meetings, and other program events.
• Engage internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers to support program participation and established objectives.
• Support team operations through meeting coordination, calendar management, budget administration, documentation, and related administrative activities.
