CROSS SAFETY MANAGEMENT LLC is hiring a Safety Manager to oversee Site Safety Programs across varied construction projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, conducting site inspections, investigations, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects accident-free.

The position demands 6–10 years of safety experience in construction, OSHA 500 or BCSP certification, and willingness to travel to locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Construction Industry methods and OSHA standards.
• OSHA 500 and/or its equivalent or BCSP certification.
• 6-10 years safety experience in construction industry.
• Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce Site Safety Programs for assigned project(s).
• Identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions to prevent injuries and property damage.
• Enforce job-specific safety standards and site-specific safety programs.
• Conduct daily/weekly site inspections and document findings.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; document and corroborate findings.
• Recommend and implement corrective action per policies and laws.
• Lead weekly Toolbox Safety Meetings and document attendance.
• Provide safety orientation for new employees.
• Advise project staff on site-specific safety issues and guidelines.
• Evaluate training needs and make recommendations.

This is a 100% required travel position. Locations can be anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities as a Safety Manager

Must be able to manage and enforce Site Safety Programs for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage. By using and enforcing job specific safety standards, best management practices, and Site-Specific safety program, the Site Safety Supervisor shall ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site resulting in an accident/incident free project.

Site Details

• Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Site Specific policies and owner/contractual requirements.
• Conduct daily and/or weekly (as appropriate or specified by job) job site inspections.
• Record observations from site inspections and complete required reports.
• Investigate, corroborate, document, all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite.
• Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws.
• Conduct weekly "Toolbox Safety Meeting' and document content and attendance.
• Conduct Safety Orientation for new employees.
• Advise project staff on site specific safety issues/guideline
• Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations
