Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) is seeking a compassionate respite worker to care for a 4-year-old boy with autism and Klinefelter syndrome in his Wisconsin home. The role involves supervision, safety, and supporting the child’s independence through play and daily routines.

The position offers a flexible schedule determined by the family and a wage of $17.66 per hour, with pay increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Criminal/Caregiver background check.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance preferred.
• Compassionate individuals with childcare or respite care experience preferred.
• Experience with children with physical disabilities and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and safety of the child in home.
• Toileting assistance (pull-ups/ potty training).
• Active attentiveness and engagement with the child.
• Build confidence and independence through supportive activities.
• Provide companionship and social engagement.

Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Are you a compassionate individual who has previous experience working with children with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and/or non-verbal children? If so, then this is the position for you!

We are seeking a Respite Worker to provide respite care for a 4-year-old boy with Autism & Klinefelter syndrome in his home! This child loves playing with toys, swings, and a trampoline, and going to the park.

Respite care will be conducted in the child's home. Community outings are also encouraged.

WAGE

$17.66 per hour (pay increase based on experience)

SCHEDULE
