Job summary

Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking a compassionate Respite Worker to provide in-home respite care for an elementary-age child with Autism in Wisconsin. You will assist with daily living, safety and companionship, with activities outdoors and during community outings.

The role offers an afternoon/evening/weekend schedule, training provided by the family, and a chance to make a meaningful impact on a child’s life. Authorized to work in the U.S. and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Criminal/Caregiver background check.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Experience with children with Autism or developmental disability preferred.
• Individual attending High School and College encouraged to apply.

Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Are you a compassionate individual who has previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities and limited verbal/communication skills? If so, then this is the position for you!

We are seeking a Respite Worker to provide respite care for an elementary-age child with Autism! This child loves playing on the trampoline, going to parks, being outdoors, and riding his adaptive bike.

Respite care will be conducted in the child's home. Community outings are also encouraged.

WAGE: $17.66 per hour (pay increase based on experience)

SCHEDULE

• Afternoon, Evenings, and Weekends (Saturday/Sunday)
• Flexible Schedule to be determined by family.
