Job summary

Eliot Community Human Services in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Respite LPN/RN to join our team. The Respite program provides short-term restorative services that support adults with mental illness in achieving stable community living.

The licensed professional will oversee care, educate clients and staff on medical topics, and coordinate services with physicians. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm; a $60,000 to $72,560 USD salary with a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN or RN required.
• Experience working with adults with severe mental illness.
• Ability to educate and train clients and staff on health topics.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients and staff on medical health, medications, and general medical topics.
• Deliver one-on-one training tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and lead groups and trainings on health and wellness topics (nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation).
• Assist clients in accessing community resources that support health and wellness goals.
• Meet with clients and staff to discuss medical diagnoses, causes, symptoms, complications, and treatments.
• Provide direct medical care per physician orders (monitoring vitals, wound care).
• Review medical documentation and coordinate care as needed.
• Coordinate overall medical care for clients and ensure follow-up.
• Support tools for ongoing symptom assessment and treatment evaluation.
