Job summary

Community Horizons L.L.C. in Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate caregiver and companion to support a parent at home. You will help coordinate daily plans, encourage skill building, and engage in activities that promote independence and well-being.

Responsibilities include providing companionship, coaching on ADLs, assisting with morning routines and personal care, helping with meal preparation, and offering homeschooling support in a patient, flexible, and safety-minded manner.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a Wisconsin background check.
• Prior experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
• The right personality: flexible, active, and ready to coach – not just supervise.
• Cat-friendly home.

Responsibilities

• Companionship: Being a genuine friend and engaging in activities.
• Independence coaching: modeling and teaching independent living skills and ADLs.
• Daily routines & personal care: assisting with morning routines, mobility, and personal care.
• Meal prep: preparing meals and snacks throughout the day.
• Educational support: homeschooling assistance and 1:1 safety.
