Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and patient individuals to provide respite care services for individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs. This role offers critical support to families while ensuring a safe and structured environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and companionship in home or community settings
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Support recreational, social, and life-skill activities
• Provide overnight monitoring (awake or sleeping shifts), including safety checks
• Follow care plans and behavioral support strategies
• Ensure client safety at all times
• Complete documentation accurately and promptly

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Ability to work independently, including overnight shifts
• Pass background check and drug screening
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain quickly)

Preferred Experience

• Developmental disabilities and/or autism support
• Behavioral support/de-escalation
• COMP Waiver experience
• Previous caregiver or DSP experience

Schedule

• Day, evening, weekend shifts
• Overnight (awake & sleep shifts available)
• Part-time and PRN opportunities
