Job summary

Inland Respite, Inc. is seeking compassionate Respite Care Providers to support families caring for children, teens and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities in their own homes.

Responsibilities include safety, companionship, and assistance with daily activities, with shifts on day/evening schedules. Part-time role up to 29 hours per week, with mileage reimbursement. Starting pay is $19.35 per hour, with a focus on building trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

• Background check is required.
• Valid Driver's License or State ID.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; bilingual preferred.
• Valid Auto Insurance.
• Valid Social Security.
• Current Negative Tuberculosis Test.
• CPR/First Aid Certification for all ages.
• Reliable transportation.
• Stay calm under pressure.

Essential Duties

The essential duties of our respite caregivers are to ensure safety and provide companionship to someone with a disability. Duties consist of daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting assistance), daily routines, and/or homework. We encourage our caregivers to engage and initiate age-appropriate activities for the client and build positive relationships with the family and clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a background check.


• Valid Driver's License or State Issued ID


• Ability to proficiently read, write and communicate effectively in English (Bilingual Preferred).


• Valid Auto Insurance


• Valid Social Security


• Current Negative Tuberculosis Test


• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification for Infants, Children and Adults

• Remains calm under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with caretaking,


• Experience or Exposure to any disability.
