Job summary

Inland Respite, Inc. is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Respite Care Providers. You will support children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities in their homes, offering companionship, safety, and engagement in meaningful activities.

Starting pay is $19.35 per hour for a part-time role (up to 29 hours/week). You will have flexibility to choose clients, while helping families take a break and ensuring client well-being in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Background check must be passed.
• Valid Driver's License or State ID.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual preferred).
• Valid Auto Insurance.
• Valid Social Security.
• Current Negative Tuberculosis Test.
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification for Infants, Children and Adults.
• Reliable transportation.
• Remains calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and provide companionship to someone with a disability.
• Assist with daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting) and routines, and/or homework.
• Engage and initiate age-appropriate activities and build positive relationships with the family and client.

Essential Duties

The essential duties of our respite caregivers are to ensure safety and provide companionship to someone with a disability. Duties consist of daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting assistance), daily routines, and/or homework. We encourage our caregivers to engage and initiate age-appropriate activities for the client and build positive relationships with the family and clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a background check.
