Job summary

Inland Respite, Inc. is seeking compassionate respite caregivers to support children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities in-home. You will provide safety, companionship, and assistance with daily activities and routines while helping families take a well-deserved break.

The role offers flexible scheduling, local client work, and growth opportunities on a part-time basis. Mileage is reimbursed at IRS rates, and you can select clients to work with, making a meaningful local impact.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Driver’s License or State-Issued ID
• Valid auto insurance coverage
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (Infants, Children, and Adults)
• Current negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
• Ability to successfully pass a background check
• Reliable transportation
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (bilingual preferred)
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

• Perform daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting assistance) and support daily routines

Essential Duties:

The essential duties of our respite caregivers are to ensure safety and provide companionship to someone with a disability. Duties consist of daily activities (feeding, dressing, toileting assistance), daily routines, and/or homework. We encourage our caregivers to engage and initiate age-appropriate activities for the client and build positive relationships with the family and clients.

Salary: Starting rate of $19.35
