Job summary

KidsTLC Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Respite Care Facilitator to coordinate daily care and activities for youth aged 6-16. The role involves collaboration with therapists and agency leaders to understand and implement treatment plans while maintaining confidentiality.

You will apply the P.A.C.E. teaching model and KidsTLC philosophy to foster a positive learning environment, respond to crises, and ensure HIPAA compliance with required trainings such as First Aid and CPR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College credit hours in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to adapt to cultural differences and respond to cues from youth with emotional/behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily care and activities for respite clients (ages 6–16), including transportation.
• Collaborate with agency leaders, therapists, and others on treatment plans while maintaining confidentiality.
• Learn and apply teaching models (P.A.C.E.) and KidsTLC philosophy to create a positive learning environment.
• Respond promptly to crises with professionalism and report to leadership as required.
• Maintain documentation and HIPAA compliance; complete required trainings (First Aid, CPR, P.A.C.E., ESPI).
• Ensure residence sight and sound compliance with state regulations.

Part-Time Position (25-30 hours a week)Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and SundayPURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Respite Care Facilitator is responsible for the coordination and care of the respite clients to ensure the daily physical and emotional needs of the youth (ages 6-16) are fulfilled. This includes following established plans and activities and creating activities to ensure effective education and developmental opportunities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Coordinate the effective daily care and activities of clients receiving respite care including transportation, as directed.Work with agency leaders, therapists, and others to ensure a working knowledge of the treatment plan or needs of each client attending respite, maintaining confidentiality.Learn, implement, and utilize teaching models (P.A.C.E.) and the agency philosophy (KidsTLC Constitution) to integrate and create a positive learning environment.Respond to crisis and conflict promptly with confidence, care and professionalism and report to leaders, as required.Maintain and follow documentation and recordkeeping of clients and ensure quality standards and HIPAA obligations are met.Accomplish and practice all required trainings including First Aid, CPR, P.A.C.E, ESPI and other state required trainings and standards.Maintain sight and sound of residence in accordance with state regulations.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
