Visiting Angels Upper Connecticut River Valley, NH is hiring a Respite At Home Caregiver to enrich clients’ quality of life and support wellness per individualized care plans.

You will assist with personal care, light exercise, meals, and light housekeeping, while providing companionship and monitoring health changes. Training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care may be offered to broaden skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid training and emergency response knowledge required.
• Able to manage multiple duties with good time management.
• Reliable transportation to client homes.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties within safety guidelines.
• Willingness to comply with health and safety standards and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.

• Plan and prepare meals with clients.

Role

As a Visiting Angels Respite At Home Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene


• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks


• Planning and preparing meals with clients


• Handling light housekeeping duties


• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents


• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship


• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies


• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips


• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately


• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Respite At Home Caregiver Job Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent


• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must


• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)


• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once


• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care


• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client


• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints


• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)


• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
