Job summary

The Laurels of Walden Park is seeking a Respiratory/Ventilator Nurse to lead care on the respiratory unit. You will supervise LPNs and other staff, administer medications safely, assess residents, and implement care plans. A strong focus on high-quality geriatric care and collaboration with physicians is essential.

One year of Respiratory/Ventilator experience is required, with shifts from 7am to 7pm. Both full-time and part-time roles available; comprehensive benefits and tuition support

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting (preferred, but not required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by LPNs, STNAs, and other team members.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to guests.
• Assess guest health and notify physician of changes; implement orders.
• Develop and implement a care plan based on assessment.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize guests or prevent complications.
• Contribute to guest assessments (MDS/CAA) and plan of care.

1 year of Respiratory/Ventiliator Experience is required to work on the resipratory unit.

Shift: 7am-7pm (full-time and part-time)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the care/services provided by the LPNs, STNAs, and other team members who care for guests.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to guests.
• Assess the health of guests and notify the physician of changes in status; promptly implement new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize a guest’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a plan of care.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care setting (preferred, but not required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
• CPR certification.
• 1 year of Respiratory/Ventiliator Experience is required to work on resipratory unit.
