Job summary

Trusted Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Indiana. This role requires Level 3 NICU skills, ICU/ER experience, and proficiency with BiPAP and ventilators. The schedule is night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with roughly 3 shifts per week over a 13-week contract.

Candidates must have a valid Respiratory Therapist license and be willing to float to additional units. Vaccinations and pre-employment modules may be required, and local travel is allowed within

• Experience in acute-care Med-Surg, ER and ICU settings required.
• Experience managing BiPAPs and ventilators is required.
• Willingness to assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care in NICU/ICU/ER with equipment like ventilators and BiPAP.
• Monitor patient status and adjust therapies per protocol.
• Collaborate with care teams for high-acuity patients.
• Float to additional units if needed and follow safety protocols.

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 1 month cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Level 3 NICU skills are required to work in this unit proficiently.
Experience in acute-care Med-Surg, ER, and ICU settings is required.

Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies is required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Willingness to help with higher patient loads and higher-acuity patients is preferred.
Willingness to work in a Level 3 NICU is preferred.

All RTO must be known at the time of submission.
No RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will be considered.

Unit Details:
Respiratory therapy coverage includes ICU/CCU, Med-Surg, emergency care, and NICU.
Patient ratios are based on an RVU system.
Equipment includes PB and Drager V500 ventilators, Aerogen nebulizers, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C transport, oscillator, jet, nitric oxide, and bubble CPAP.

Shift & Scheduling:
No call.
Every other weekend, including Saturday and Sunday.

5 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required

Driver's license required for submission
