Job summary

Trusted Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Texas. You will work in adult ICU settings, providing ventilator management, airway clearance, and ABG procedures, with a heavy focus on bedside care.

The role requires current RRT or CRT certification, BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS, and a valid license. Shifts are 12 hours; weekend coverage is required; local candidates living >50 miles from the facility are preferred.

Shift:

6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 6 months of Respiratory Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:6 months–1 year ICU experience required.

Unit Details:Adult respiratory therapy services include CVICU, NCCU, LRICU (ECMO), MICU, MSICU, 2South ICU, Adult ED, and numerous other floors.Workload includes 30-45 units of therapy per shift.Procedures include nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, ventilator, HFNC, bronch assist, and ABG.Equipment includes GE Carescape R860 ventilator, Covidien PB980 ventilator, Avea ventilator, V60 noninvasive ventilator, Vapotherm, Blender HFNC, Vest CPT, MetaNeb, Cough Assist, and Percussor CPT.

Shift & Scheduling:At least 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule; this does not have to be every other Sat/Sun.

Floating Requirements:Voluntary to float to pediatrics.

10 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
